Matthew Paradise graduated with honors in Psychology from Stanford University and spent three years at the Stanford University Medical Center and Department of Veterans Affairs as a Research Health Science Specialist in program evaluation. He received his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Washington, with emphases in child development, addictive behaviors, and quantitative methodology. He completed his Psychology residency in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Washington Medical School.

 

Dr. Paradise was a faculty member in the Department of Psychology at the University of North Carolina, and more recently at the Monarch School, before establishing his private practice in Houston.

 

He is a clinical generalist, with specialized training in parenting, childhood behavior problems, family conflict, and substance use. Dr. Paradise has also published widely in the areas of psychopathology, child development, and adolescent risk-taking, and has been quoted in local and national media on topics such as healthy development, the transition to adulthood, and relationships.  He is listed in the National Register of Health Providers in Psychology, and is licensed by the state of Texas as a Clinical Psychologist.

Dr. Matthew Paradise is a Clinical Psychologist who works with young people, adults, and families in Houston, Texas.
